This vast sunbathing beach offers an endless free space and attracts both young and old. It's often used for such events as beach volleyball matches and fireworks displays.

Itako, known as a waterside town, holds the iris festival in every June. The irises of many different colors - white, purple, yellow - are in full bloom along the river. The lively festival consists of a number of activities such as bridal boats (a boat carrying a bride).
