Daigo Area

Daigo area which is popular for Fukuroda Falls, one of Japanese three beautiful falls, is a representative sightseeing spot of Ibaraki. There are some hot springs such as Fukuroda, Daigo and Yuzawa hot spring. Especially, Daigo hot spring is popular among female as a beauty hot spa. "Apple bath" using Oku-kuji specialty apples is offered in autumn and winter. Sweet aroma wafts in the bath.

Kita-Ibaraki Area

Izura Shore where Tenshin Okakura, a forerunner of modern art, was based in, Isohara Beach where Ujyo Noguchi, a poet of the nursery, was born, and Hanazono Ravine which is famous for autmn colored leaves... Kita-Ibaraki area is endowed with nature. Plenty of hot springs and hotels you can enjoy fresh seafood dishes are available in this area. You can try a local specialty Anko Nabe (Japanese casserole of angler fish) in winter season.

Mt. Tsukuba Area

Tsukuba area has become a hot place to visit since the opening of Tsukuba Express Train. In the center area of Tsukuba, there are many companies and labs investigating cutting-edge technology. Making a little trip to the suburbs, you can go to Mt. Tsukuba, one of Japanese famous 100 mountains, and soak in a hot spring with a grand view of Kanto Plain under your eyes.
